National Courier Delivery Details

Important Courier Delivery Information

In brief:-

1.      The delivery of goods is onto your property or roadside not into your property.

2.      Check for courier damage before signing - you must carefully inspect all product prior to signing for goods and damaged goods must be returned to the driver.

3.      Checking that all your goods have arrived - you must make sure that you sign for the correct quantity of products as per the delivery / consignment note.

4.      Installers / Tradesmen should not be arranged until after the delivery and you have checked your order.

5.      Multiple deliveries - dependent upon your chosen products or stock levels at the time of ordering your goods may be delivered at different times. If this is the case you will be notified prior to each delivery.

6.      Delivery dates are estimated and can change due to unforeseen circumstances.

1.  Delivery to your property

Orders for smaller products such as taps, fires etc, will be delivered by our standard courier service which in general will be to your front door, however orders for fragile products such as sanitaryware, will be sent on a single man pallet courier service.  Delivery drivers are not insured to carry goods into your property or locate them in a garage.  They are only instructed to wheel the pallet onto your property not into it.   If your driveway is uneven or comprised of loose stone chippings for safety reasons the delivery driver will not be able to wheel the pallet onto your property and will leave the pallet on the roadside.  Please make sure that there is somebody capable of moving your product from your driveway or roadside to a safe location as the delivery driver is not obliged to do so.

Deliveries for large bulky products such as shower boards will be made by a distribution service offering a two man delivery team.  This company will contact you on receipt of your order and arrange an amicable time to deliver your products.

2. Checking for courier damage

When your goods are delivered you will be required to sign for them on receipt. Once a consignment of goods leaves our premises it becomes the freight company's responsibility to transport the goods safely to the intended destination.  By signing the consignment / delivery note, you are indemnifying the freight company of any responsibility and acknowledging that you have received the goods in "Good Condition".   You must check your goods thoroughly before signing.   In the unlikely event that your products arrive damaged you must notify us within seven days in writing.  Homecare Supplies cannot accept any liability for damaged goods after seven days.

3. Checking for missing product

When your goods are delivered you must check that the quantity of packages correspond to the number on the delivery / consignment note and any missing items must be clearly indicated on the delivery /consignment note.  In the unlikely event that you experience missing products you must notify us in writing within seven days.  Homecare Supplies cannot accept any liability for missing goods after seven days.

4. Installers / Tradersmen

Please do not arrange for your tradesmen to carry out the installation of your product until after you have received your complete order and after you have had sufficient time to check it thoroughly for any visible faults or damage.   Homecare Supplies cannot accept liability for any losses, costs, or expenses from 3rd parties caused by any delay in completing your order.

5. Multiple deliveries

Homecare Supplies reserves the right to deliver your order on more than one delivery.  Dependent on the products on your order it may be quicker or more efficient to send them via different couriers.  However you will be notified prior to each delivery.

6. Delivery Dates

Delivery dates are stated on each individual product page.  These dates are approximate only and subject to change without prior notice.  Stock levels may vary or external factors may influence the date specified.  We aim to complete your order in the shortest timeframe possible however sometimes our usual level of service may be affected by elements out of our control.  Homecare Supplies cannot accept liability for any losses, costs, or expenses from 3rd parties caused by any delay in completing your order.
