Today our Heating and Plumbing department offers everything from the complete Gas, Oil, or Solid Fuel heating systems down to a modest tap washer.

Whilst Central Heating and Plumbing products remain a large part of our business, the Company has diversified over the past 30 years offering many complementary products.

In 1975 Homecare opened its first dedicated bathroom showroom which currently displays a comprehensive range of bathroom suites and shower enclosures in all the latest designs from leading manufacturers such as Ideal Standard, Armitage Shanks, Heritage, Roman, Bristan and Utopia to name just a few.

In 1980 we opened a small Fireplace showroom which has now grown into one of the largest selections of Fires and Fireplaces anywhere in the Country. The showroom currently consists of over 200 Traditional and Modern Fires and Fireplaces to suit all tastes in gas, electric or solid fuel fires and stoves.

In 1997 a large kitchen appliance showroom was built displaying well over 150 kitchen appliances from all the leading manufacturers of Washing Machines, Dishwashers, Tumble Dryers, American Fridges, Range Cookers, Fridge Freezers, Built In Ovens and Freestanding Cookers.

...and yes we do even sell the kitchen sink!

This development led to the launching of our online kitchen appliance shop www.homecareappliances.co.uk in 2002 supplying a selection of key manufacturers' products nationally.

In December 2004 Homecare completed its largest expansion ever with the construction of a three storey extension to our main building in Valley Street, Darlington. This tripled the size of our warehouse facility and added even more choice to both our Fireplace and Bathroom departments. PLUS we have included an in-house 50 seat Cafeteria creating the perfect shopping environment for our customers.

This expansion will further support our Company Policy of offering our customers the largest choice of Heating and Plumbing products from all the leading manufacturers at constant low prices in an extremely pleasant and comfortable environment.
